Toronto YAD climbed 1,776 steps of the CN Tower to support the WWF
On Saturday, April 8, 2017, members of Toronto YAD participated in WWF’s CN Tower Climb for Nature. This was the second year our team participated in this event to raise money to support conservation efforts and to protect the habitats of hundreds of species. Climate change is one of the most pressing issues that affects us all and it’s important we do our part to support organizations such as WWF-Canada. In total, our team raised $1,235 with the help of many friends and family. There were seven Toronto YAD members who participated and climbed the 1,776 steps of the CN Tower. It was challenging to make it to the top, but rewarding to know we could support a worthy cause. This year we had a few first timers participating, while the rest of the team were returning participants. The team’s fastest climber, Jaycie Linh made it to the top of the CN Tower with a time of 21:28! Thank you to our donors who allowed us to make this event a success, we couldn’t have done it without you! We hope to continue to participate in this event in the years to come and encourage others to join us!
